SPONSORSHIP INFORMATION

As in the past, sponsors will be accepted on a first come first served basis, with preference given to suppliers and/or services that are associated with the topic presented. This serves that our membership is obviously interested in the topic (evidenced by their attendance at the symposium) by providing options and provides sponsors with a targeted group of professionals to present their services.

We anticipate an attendance of about 40-60 people at the virtual spring conference. Since this is our virtual event, sponsorship will be slightly different. Sponsors will be recognized throughout the day during breaks, and the distribution of the brochures.  Following are included in the sponsorship;

  • Proportional logo representation on the brochure
  • Allows 1 member participation in the conference
  • Verbal recognition/presentation throughout the conference
  • Advertisement on AIHA website until our next event or October 31, 2021, whichever comes first

The cost of sponsorship is $500.

If you are interested in sponsoring the 2021 Virtual Spring Conference please email Bina Patel.

Thanks,
Bina Patel, CIH, CRSP

2021 AWARD OF RECOGNITION NOMINATION

The AIHA – Alberta Section provides the opportunity for recognition of individuals who have contributed to advancing the occupational hygiene profession and/or Local Section. This award allows members of the Alberta Local Section to acknowledge our peers for going the extra mile.

The Alberta Local Section would like you to think about the contributions of your peers and nominate someone who has made a significant difference. Attached is a questionnaire that asks you to describe the contributions of that special person.

Award Criteria Suggestions:

Some examples of contributions that the Alberta Local Section recognizes:

  • Long-term service to the Local Section including the Executive;
  • Mentoring new entrants/professionals in the occupational hygiene field;
  • Educating/giving presentations about the field of occupational hygiene;
  • Enhancing the profession of occupational hygiene;

Note – a large number of years of service is not a mandatory criterion for award selection. The award is based on merit/contribution rather than purely years of service. Therefore, any local section member can be nominated and evaluated on their contributions.

Application Guidelines:

  • Nominations must identify and explain the contribution the individual made;
  • You may nominate any Alberta Local Section member, other than yourself;
  • All nominations are treated equally and there are no “categories”;
  • The names of the nominator will be kept confidential;
  • The names of all nominees will be published;
  • Presentation of the award will be made at the 2021 Annual General Meeting.

Please complete the nomination questionnaire on the following page by February 28, 2021
